Lilac Fire Update: School and Shelter Information

School Closures

The San Diego County Office of Education has announced that the Bonsall Unified School District will remain closed on Tuesday, December 12. Schools that were closed on December 11 but will reopen tomorrow, December 12, include: Fallbrook Union Elementary School District, Fallbrook Union High School District, Mountain Empire Unified School District, Spencer Valley School District, Valley Center Pauma Unified School District, and St. Peter the Apostle school.

Shelter Closure

The Red Cross also announced that the shelter at the Bostonia Park & Recreation Center is closing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11. The shelter at Palomar College remains open to serve the needs of those displaced by the Lilac Fire.
