Gas leak reported in the area of Friars Road.
At 11:30 AM Cal Trans reported SR-163 closed northbound and southbound between I-805 and I-8 for repair of a gas line near Friars Road.
In response to the gas leak, the San Diego Police Department advises those in the area of Friars Road, from Frazee Rd. to Fashion Valley Rd. to shelter in place for the next couple of hours and to monitor local news for updates.
