Remaining Residents OK’d to Return Home in Border 32 Fire; County sets up Recovery Email
The remaining people who had to evacuate in the Border 32 Fire have been cleared to return home by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, CAL FIRE and the County’s Office of Emergency Services.
Some residents were previously cleared to return home Thursday evening.
County officials also established a recovery email, RecoverySanDiego@sdcounty.ca.gov, to help those affected by the fires. People whose property was affected by the fire can reach the County at the recovery email and County officials will respond.
Officials said the emergency shelter at Mountain Empire High School at 3305 Buckman Springs Road in Pine Valley would remain open at this point in time.
CAL FIRE reported Friday morning that the Border 32 Fire remained at 4,438 acres and was 20% contained.
