Road Fire burning near Highways I8-W and SR- 79 in Japatul Valley

Cleveland National Forest is reporting a fire near Highways I8-W and SR- 79 and Japatul Valley. Evacuation Orders and Warnings are currently in place in for areas of Desansco and Viejas Reservation. A temporary evacuation point has been established at Viejas Casino located at 5000 Willows Rd, Alpine, CA 91901. Road closures are in effect for west-bound I-8 west of SR-79/Japatul Valley Rd.
