Mission Fire in the Community of Fallbrook, Shelter In Place, Evacuation Warning, and Evacuation Order Issued

North County Fire Protection District is at scene of a vegetation fire near northbound interstate 15 and south of East Mission Road in the community of Fallbrook. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Shelter-In-Place, Evacuation Warning, and Evacuation Order for nearby areas.

Temporary Evacuation Point is located at Pala Park N Ride (3450 S. Old Highway 395)

To Shelter-In-Place:

·      Go inside and take any pets with you.

·      Close and lock all windows and doors.

·      Turn off fans, air conditioner, and furnace if possible.

·      Close the fireplace damper if not in use.

·      Go to an internal room without windows if possible.

·      Wait for an all clear.

An Evacuation Warning means there is a potential threat to life and/or property.

·      You may be in danger soon.

·      Leave now if you need extra time, or do not feel safe.

·      Call your emergency contacts now if you need help.

·      Contact your neighbors and share information.

·      Vulnerable populations such as people with disabilities, people with access or functional needs, and/or large animals should leave now.

An Evacuation Order requires immediate movement out of the affected area due to an imminent threat to life.

·      There is extreme danger in your area.

·      You must leave now.

·      Do not wait.

·      Contact your neighbors and share information.
