Household Hazardous Waste Disposal

The County’s Department of Public Works is offering free door-to-door collection services of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) to residents whose structures were damaged by the Los Coches fire.

Permitting and Rebuilding

Private Property Rebuilding

Planning and Development Services can help with the following:

  • Issue Temporary Occupancy Permits for buildings.
  • Provide information related to rebuilding homes like zoning, engineering and building requirements, and any permits needed to rebuild or change property layout.
  • Provide rebuild packets including data regarding property site conditions, easements, rights-of-way, parcel maps, permits for sidewalks, sewers, safety assessments, rebuilding, etc.

The Access Customer Service Call Center helps people in San Diego County with questions about Family Resource Center (FRC) programs and services. The agents are trained workers who know about CalWORKs, CalFresh, and Medi-Cal.

Volunteer Assistance

Salvation Army

Provides emotional and spiritual care, financial assistance that can be used at Salvation Army local family stores, clothing assistance, some diapers, beverages, and referrals to local Salvation Army pantries.
