Two Active Wildland Fires

Two wildland fires are active in south eastern San Diego County. 

The Lyons fire is now 60 acres with structures in the area.  It is in the vicinity of Lyons Valley Road and Honey Springs Road in Jamul.  The fire is burning in a southeastern direction and the Sheriff Department is evacuating residents east of this location. 

A temporary evacuation point has been established for the Lyons fire at Jamul Primary School located at 14567 Lyons Valley Rd. Jamul, CA 91935.

The Potrero fire is holding at 5 acres and is in the vicinity of Highway 94 and Emery Lane in Potrero, CA.
