Red Flag Warning Issued for Friday through Sunday

With strong gusty winds and low humidity in the weekend forecast, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning starting Friday at 11 a.m. The warning, which is expected to last until 8 p.m. Sunday, covers most of San Diego County, including the inland valleys, mountains, Camp Pendleton and Miramar Marine Corps Air Station. Offshore winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 45 mph, relative humidity around 5 percent in the driest areas, and very dry fuel conditions are expected to elevate wildfire danger. More forecast information and updates are available from the National Weather Service.
