Lakeside Evacuations

The San Diego County Sheriff?s Department has issued evacuation orders for roughly 1,500 people in the Wintergardens area because of a wildfire burning near Aurora Drive and the Interstate 8 in Lakeside.

A temporary evacuation site has been established at El Capitan High School, located at 10410 Ashwood St. in Lakeside.

Residents are urged to call 2-1-1 for all non-emergency calls.
