Carlsbad Schools Closed Thursday and Friday

The City of Carlsbad is reporting they have issued mandatory evacuations in several neighborhoods East of Aviara Parkway.

They are also reporting all schools in the Carlsbad Unified School District will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Poinsettia Fire has burned over 100 acres. 

Most of the structures destroyed or damaged are on Aviara Parkway and Black Rail Road.

Residents are urged to call 2-1-1 for all non-emergency calls and visit www.sdcountyemergency.com for updates online.
