Border 53 Fire Near US, Mexico Border
The Border 53 Fire started June 1st, 2024, on the Mexico side of the US, Mexico border near Buttewig Canyon on the South slope of Otay Mountain. The fire is currently 250 acres, with 10% containment. There are currently no structures threatened and no evacuations.
