High Wind Warning for San Diego County Mountains starting 7 p.m. on 1/10/24

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a High Wind Warning for San Diego County Mountains from 7 p.m. 1/10/24 to 10 a.m. 1/11/24.

• Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines
• Widespread power outages are possible.
• Strongest winds are forecasted in mountain areas, 30-40 m.p.h., with gusts to 70 m.p.h.
• 20-30 m.p.h. winds, with gusts to 50 m.p.h. are forecasted in desert areas.
• Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. 
• Use caution if you must drive.Monitor local radio and television stations and the National Weather Service for updates.
